Neptune - EP by Killer Bee

This album is the third in my Sailor series. Damn. It's been almost 10 years since I've started this journey. That's crazy. It's been a blur. I'm trying to be more present and be grateful for all the music I've made and the people it has connected me to. When Sony gave me a copyright strike which subsequently led to Spotify deplatforming the entirety of my 'Venus - EP' I've gotta admit it stung a little. It felt like they were trying to erase a part of my musical journey and by extension- me. But I'm trying not to be attached. Let the universe's will be done. I'm grateful for all of the opportunities it afforded me. I've only ever wanted my music to be there for someone going through hard times, joyful times, and everything in between. And I hope anyone who listens to it can appreciate the respect I approach sampling and how much I look up to all of the artists like Joe Hisaishi who inspire me daily. I'm also grateful it's still up (mostly) on Bandcamp and Soundcloud and I trust the universe will deliver it to the people who need it- one way or another.

I don't know what this tape's fate will be but I will try to continue my work for as long as I can. Many other things also influenced the tape, too many to count since I've been grinding on it since 2020, but a few stick out to me:

Animes like Angel Beats, Dr. Stone, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Konosuba, and Spy x Family. Books like 'The Autobiography of Andy Warhol' by Andy Warhol, 'Living Buddha, Living Christ' by Thich Nhat Hanh, and 'Be Here Now' by Ram Dass. Filmmakers like Akira Kurosawa, Hideaki Anno, Ingmar Bergman, and Shunji Iwai. People like Thich Nhat Hanh, Ramakrishna and Ram Dass. And so much more that I plan to share on my next major album.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and helped me finish this album. To my tio Jorge (RIP 🕊️) who was one of those pivotal people in my life who helped foment my love of cinema. I will always cherish the movie marathons we used to have in that room that was decorated to look like an African jungle lmao shouts to my family for supporting me, to everyone in the subreddit/discord, and most importantly to anyone who listens to my music.
